Green & Sustainability Policy

1. Purpose

This Green & Sustainability Policy sets out the Company’s commitment to operate responsibly, reduce environmental impact, and support Singapore’s transition towards a greener, low-carbon, and resource-efficient economy. As a textile, drapery, curtain, and blinds company, we recognise the environmental impact associated with fabric sourcing, material cutting, packaging, installation, transport, product durability, and end-of-life disposal. This policy provides guiding principles for responsible business decisions, day-to-day operations, procurement, production, installation work, employee behaviour, and stakeholder engagement.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all employees, management, contractors, suppliers, installers, subcontractors, and business partners acting on behalf of the Company. It covers all Company premises, showrooms, warehouses, workshops, project sites, procurement decisions, fabric selection, cutting and fabrication processes, packaging, delivery, installation, waste management, product maintenance advice, and engagement with customers and stakeholders.

3. Policy Statement

The Company recognises that sustainability is essential to long-term business resilience, stakeholder trust, operational efficiency, and responsible growth. We are committed to integrating environmental, social, and governance considerations into our textile, drapery, curtain, and blinds business practices, with a focus on responsible material sourcing, reducing fabric offcuts and packaging waste, improving energy efficiency, lowering carbon emissions, extending product lifespan, and encouraging sustainable choices across our value chain.

4. Sustainability Commitments

  • Responsible fabric and material sourcing: Where commercially and technically feasible, prioritise durable, responsibly sourced, recycled, recyclable, certified, low-impact, or lower-chemical textiles and components for curtains, drapery, upholstery, blinds, tracks, rods, and accessories.
  • Fabric offcut reduction: Improve measurement accuracy, cutting layouts, stock planning, and project estimation to reduce fabric wastage during sampling, fabrication, alteration, and installation.
  • Reuse, upcycling, and recycling: Segregate suitable fabric remnants, sample books, discontinued materials, packaging, metals, plastics, and other recoverable materials for reuse, donation, upcycling, supplier take-back or recycling where practicable.
  • Product durability and repairability: Recommend fit-for-purpose materials, quality workmanship, proper installation, and maintenance guidance to extend the useful life of curtains, blinds, tracks, and related products.
  • Lower-impact product options: Offer customers sustainable product choices where available, including recycled-content fabrics, natural fibre options, energy-saving window coverings, low-emission materials, and long-lasting systems.
  • Packaging reduction: Minimise unnecessary packaging and use reusable, recyclable, recycled-content, or right-sized packaging for deliveries, installations, and project handovers where feasible.
  • Energy efficiency: Reduce unnecessary electricity use in offices, showrooms, warehouses, and workshops through efficient equipment, responsible air-conditioning settings, scheduled shutdowns, and employee awareness.
  • Carbon reduction: Monitor key sources of emissions where practicable and identify opportunities to consolidate deliveries, plan installation routes efficiently, reduce unnecessary travel, and improve logistics efficiency.
  • Water conservation: Promote responsible water use and address leaks or wastage promptly across Company premises.
  • Paperless operations: Prioritise digital quotations, drawings, approvals, invoices, catalogues, and project records to reduce paper consumption.
  • Employee participation: Encourage employees and installers to adopt environmentally responsible practices at work and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.

5. Governance and Responsibilities

  • Management: Provide leadership, approve sustainability priorities, allocate appropriate resources, and review performance regularly.
  • Sustainability Lead or Committee: Coordinate initiatives, track progress, recommend improvements, and support communication across departments.

8. Textile and Product Lifecycle Practices

The Company will consider sustainability throughout the product lifecycle, from customer consultation and material recommendation to measurement, fabrication, delivery, installation, maintenance, repair, and disposal. Where feasible, the Company will support customers in choosing durable and appropriate window furnishing solutions that improve comfort, reduce heat gain, support energy efficiency, and minimise premature replacement. The Company will also seek practical ways to extend the useful life of materials and products through reuse, alteration, repair, refurbishment, recycling, or responsible disposal.
